After many years of visiting the area on family holidays, my parents bought a caravan at Blue Dolphin Holiday Park in 2013. After a season of enjoying the caravan life, my parents upgraded their caravan and to help with running costs we started hiring it out to other families. The caravan was always fully booked and we ended up turning away a lot of bookings, so we started passing bookings to other owners on the park who hired out too. In 2014 my grandparents bought a caravan too at Blue Dolphin and asked me to hire it out on a full time basis, this was the start of what is now Filey Bay Holiday Lets.

Over the years, other owners asked for help with hiring out their caravans and slowly we began to grow with the amount of caravans we were helping to advertise. I now manage over 40 holiday homes in Filey for lettings. For the first few years I had help from my dad (Barry) advertising the caravans as I was still in education and this was just something we did in our spare time but over the years the business grew from strength to strength and I now run the business as my full time job.

I used local cleaning companies to complete changeovers between all our holiday makers but in November 2018 I took a massive jump and started my own cleaning business to cover the changeovers on the caravans I managed. Having my own cleaning team has meant we have been in control of our cleaning standards and I really enjoyed the chance to expand the company. Throughout 2019 other owners in the area asked us to complete changeovers for their holiday lets so I recruited more team and we expanded FBHL even more. We now have a large client base for caravans, lodges, cottages and apartments.

Originally my hometown is Leeds but in April 2020 I moved to the area with my partner and we both now run FBHL full time. We will continue to grow the business and provide fantastic holiday accommodation prepared by a hardworking and devoted team.
